Pastor Reis was born and grew up in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. His father, Jim, is retired. His mother, Debbie, works for a bank.

 

Pastor Reis attended school at Immanuel Lutheran School in Manitowoc. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in April of 1998.

 

Later that year, he continued his education at Manitowoc Lutheran High School. Here he enjoyed participating in many activities, many having to do with music. He regularly participated in band, pep band, choirs, plays, and intramural activities. He graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran in May of 2002.

 

During his time at Manitowoc Lutheran, Pastor Reis always wanted to be a teacher. One day a couple of the pastors serving on the staff of Manitowoc Lutheran pulled Pastor Reis aside and urged him to enter the pastoral studies at Martin Luther College instead of the teacher studies. The rest as we say is history.

 

Later that year, Pastor Reis enrolled at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. He enjoyed his time at New Ulm. While much of his time was devoted to studying, he did find some time to participate in fun activities. Pastor Reis is particularly fond of his senior year at Martin Luther College, especially his participation in one of the choirs. This is because he met a very nice young lady, Katrina, who was sitting in the row ahead of him. They got to know each other very well over the course of the year. Pastor Reis graduated from Martin Luther College in May of 2006.

 

Pastor Reis continued his studies at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin. In May of 2008, Pastor Reis was assigned as a vicar for one year to Star of Bethlehem in New Berlin, Wisconsin. It was a very enjoyable year. While he was in his vicar year, he married that young lady he met in choir. Pastor Reis graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in May of 2010.

 

When he completed his formal schooling at the Seminary, he was assigned as an associate pastor of Good Shepherd, Fond du Lac. He enjoys music, worship, technology, and helping brainstorm and implementing stratiegies on how to reach out to others! Pastor and his wife Katrina have two children, Isaac and Seth.
